In the early round of their fight, Lesnar take control of the bout and force a takedown of Mir.Eventually, Mir secured a “kneebar” and force a submission at 1:30 of the first round,forcing Lesnar to tap out and surrender.
In UFC 87,Brock Lesnar proved to the wole world that he is one of the greatest UFC Heavyweight fighter by beating Heath Herring.After that,his greatness was noticed and set a fight against Randy Couture for the UFC Heavyweight Championship at UFC 91:Couture vs Lesnar.Brock leaves the UFC 91 fight victorious by beating Couture via technical knockout at round two.With this, he is named as the UFC Heavyweight Champion.
On the other hand, Frank Mir defeated Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira for the Interim Heavyweight title at UFC 92.It was in this fight when Lesnar,in the middle of the crowd, shouted Mir this line “You've got my belt “.
